Pilates
Pilates is low-impact type of workouts that focus on using bodyweight resistance.
The benefits are vast. Pilates can increase overall health, leading to a better quality of life. As with any exercise, proper form is crucial.
Pilates
Pilates is a safe and effective method of exercise and clinical rehabilitation that focuses on muscular balance. This physical fitness system was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century after whom the method is named. Building long lean muscles, improving posture, developing core strength and stability, improving pelvic floor function, enhancing your bodies performance as well as aiding in the prevention of injury, can all be attributed to the benefits of Pilates.
Olivia offers Personal Pilates Classes that are tailored to the individual – whether you are recovering from an injury, starting as a Pilates beginner or an expert wanting more conditioning. You will be guided through the session in a rhythm with intensity that pushes your boundary without strain while making sure you learn proper Pilates technique through each exercise.
To build true strength in your muscles stems from learning to activate and work muscles correctly – through muscle technique and integrity, one can build strength with flexibility, co-ordination and control.
Pilates Classes
01.
Beginner Class
Beginner classes cater to the absolute beginner. This level is ideal for new students to build their knowledge of the basic principles of Pilates, while also giving them the opportunity to build up their coordination and strength.
02.
Intermediate Class
Our Intermediate level classes are designed to further challenge the coordination and strength of students through variations of the classic Pilates movements. These energetic, fast paced classes include some modifications for more advanced exercises, but students are encouraged to challenge themselves.
03.
Advanced Class
Advanced class levels are high intensity Pilates classes. This level is only recommended for students who have already been taking the intermediate classes and have been assessed, approved, and promoted to this level by our instructors. Due to the intensity of the movement and quick transitions between movements a certain level of coordination and strength is required from each student to ensure safety.
